Mirror, Mirror

Have you looked in the mirror lately? Looking ‘old’ is a judgment that you don’t have to make about yourself. Is this type of self-judgment useful? Is it kind?

What does it mean anyways? Old is a relative term. When I was 6 yrs old, 12 looked ‘old’.

Instead of self harming judgments and criticism, celebrate yourself. Try giving yourself 3 compliments for every criticism. Shower yourself with appreciation, gratitude, love. Befriend yourself. Talk to yourself the way you would talk to a young child. Tell yourself jokes.

Have a ‘date’ with yourself. Prepare a special meal just for you, something you really love or buy yourself a few special treats. Set the table as if the most important person in the world were coming to dine, because you are! Put together a music playlist that lights you up. Dance, sing, have fun. You can even take a luxurious bath afterward with candles or even give yourself a foot massage with scented oils. Hey, why not a full body massage?

Enjoy time with yourself regularly.

If you want to meet the love of your life, simply look in the mirror.
